Roasted Duck in Oven Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 whole duck, cleaned and pat-dried
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, cut into wedges
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Rub the duck inside and out with the spice mixture.
- In a roasting pan, place the onion wedges, garlic, thyme and olive oil.
- Place the duck on top of the vegetables, breast side up.
- Bake the duck for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, basting every 30 minutes with the chicken broth.
- Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) and brush the duck with honey.
- Bake for another 10-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let the duck rest for 5-10 minutes before carving.
